Savior of the Nations Come

In the hymn Savior of the Nations Come, the theme is mostly praise and the wonder of God's own greatness. In the hymn, the line stating "Brightly doth thy manger shine" it shows how great and amazing Jesus truly was, even as a baby, and Martin Luther captures his greatness and his own essence in this world is a wonder to us all. It shows that we are loved by the greatest God. He even sent his one and only son to come and save us, shown in the verse in stanza 4, "From the Father forth He came, And returneth to the same, Captive leading death and hell High the song of triumph swell!" and he succeeded in wiping all of our sins away, even through death and hell he still manages triumph over the devil. This hymn truly shows us how incredible our God is and how much he truly loves us.
